OffMarket: private trading on Polymarket markets

OffMarket is a web app for trading Polymarket markets with positions that are not publicly linked to your account. OffMarket uses the same Polymarket markets, the same order book, and the same odds. You sign in, deposit USDC on Polygon, and trade.

How OffMarket works

  1. Sign in to OffMarket with Google or connect a crypto wallet.
  2. Deposit USDC on Polygon, the same way you would on Polymarket.
  3. Trade the same Polymarket prediction markets at the same odds. Your positions are not publicly linked to your account.

Common questions about OffMarket

What is Offmarket?

Offmarket lets you trade on Polymarket without your positions being publicly visible. On Polymarket, your account, trading history, and portfolio are normally fully public. Anyone can look up your wallet address and see exactly what you're betting on, when you entered, and what you've won or lost. Offmarket removes that exposure.

Do I need a Polymarket account?

No. Offmarket derives a fresh trading wallet for each position and manages the Polymarket interaction for you.

How does the privacy actually work?

When you deposit USDC, it goes into a smart contract on Starknet. Zero-knowledge proofs encode your balance and activity into ciphertext that only your private viewing key can read. The contract is public and immutable. No administrator can access your funds or see your balance.

For each bet, Offmarket creates a fresh Polygon wallet derived mathematically from your signature. You can always recover it, but it has no on-chain connection to your identity. That wallet places the order on Polymarket, holds your position, and collects your winnings.

Funds move between chains via Circle's CCTP, the standard USDC burn-and-mint bridge. When you deposit, USDC burns on Starknet and mints to your fresh Polygon wallet. When you return funds, the process reverses, and the bridge carries no identifying information.

The Polygon wallet trading on Polymarket looks like a random address with nothing linking it to your Starknet identity, your other positions, or your main wallet.

What can someone actually see?

On-chain, an observer can see that USDC moved from the Starknet privacy pool to some Polygon address, that Polygon address trading on Polymarket, and that address's positions and P&L.

They cannot see which Starknet address funded it, that multiple positions belong to the same person, or any connection to your main wallet or identity.

Who controls my funds?

You do. Offmarket is non-custodial. Your wallet stays in your control and you sign every meaningful action. Private keys are derived in your browser from one signature and never transmitted anywhere. Funds in the Starknet pool are protected by zero-knowledge encryption, so only your private viewing key can read them, with one exception: the auditing entity holds your viewing key in escrow for compliance tracing, and no one else can access it. Polymarket positions are held in smart contracts tied to your derived wallet, not on any Offmarket server.

Can Offmarket take my funds?

No. There is no Offmarket server, no database of user accounts, and no custodied keys. The app is a browser interface that orchestrates your own signatures and on-chain transactions. If Offmarket shut down tomorrow, you could recover your derived wallets directly.
