Polymarket profile search: what an address reveals

A Polymarket profile search is a lookup by username or by wallet address that returns the account’s open positions, closed positions, profit and loss and full trade history. The data is public, so Polymarket’s own search, the leaderboard, wallet trackers and third-party analytics sites all read the same record and show the same numbers for the same address.

How do people find a Polymarket profile?

A Polymarket profile is found in four ways. First, username search on Polymarket itself, which works for any account that has chosen a username. Second, the Polymarket leaderboard, which lists the most profitable and most active accounts by day, week and month and links each one to its profile. Third, the wallet address, copied from a transaction, a screenshot or a market’s top-holders list and pasted into Polymarket or into an analytics site; according to Polymarket’s documentation, a public profile lookup by address is part of the public API. Fourth, a profile link shared after a win. All four routes end at the same page, and the public position and activity endpoints return the same data to any program.

How does a Polymarket address become a person?

A Polymarket address is a string of 42 characters until one public link ties it to a name. First, a Polymarket username that matches an X or Telegram handle is the most common link. Second, a deposit from an exchange account in a real name is visible to anyone who can see that transfer, and transfers on a public blockchain are visible to everyone. Third, a screenshot of a portfolio, a profile link shared after a win, or a friend who knows the handle completes the picture just as well. From then on, every position the address has ever held reads as that person’s, and every position the address opens in future arrives in the feed of anyone who saved the address.

How do you keep positions off your public record?

OffMarket is a web app for trading Polymarket markets with positions that are not publicly linked to the trader’s account. OffMarket uses the same Polymarket markets, the same order book and the same odds, so a share that costs 72 cents on Polymarket costs 72 cents on OffMarket and pays the same one dollar on a win. The only change is the public record: a wallet tracker, a leaderboard or a profile search pointed at an OffMarket account finds no positions to report. Getting started takes three steps.

  1. Sign in to OffMarket with Google or connect a crypto wallet.
  2. Deposit USDC.
  3. Trade the same Polymarket prediction markets at the same odds. Positions are not publicly linked to the account.

Trade on Polymarket, privately.

Same markets, same order book, same odds. Your positions are not publicly linked to your account.
