Can you see who is betting on Polymarket?

Who is betting on Polymarket is public information. Every Polymarket market page lists the top holders on each side of the market, with the size of each position, and shows a live activity feed of trades with the account behind each one. Clicking any account opens its full public profile, and none of this requires a login or a Polymarket account.

What does a Polymarket market page show about bettors?

A Polymarket market page is public down to the individual holder, through two tabs. First, the top-holders tab lists the accounts with the largest positions on Yes and on No, each with its username and the size of its position in shares. Second, the activity tab lists every trade on the market as it happens, with the account, the side, the number of shares, the price and the time. Each account links to its public profile, which shows every other position that account holds. According to Polymarket’s documentation, public endpoints return the same holder and activity data to any program, which is how whale trackers, leaderboards and dashboards are built without any special access.

What does a public holder list mean for a trader?

A public holder list means that any position of meaningful size puts the account on the market’s top-holders tab for everyone to see, and any trade at all puts the account in the activity feed with its size and price. A reader who knows the trader’s Polymarket username, or who recognises the wallet address from a transfer, a screenshot or another market’s holder list, opens the profile from there and reads the whole book. On a political or news market, the top holders are the first place journalists and whale trackers look, so a large position is read not only as a bet but as a statement by whoever placed it.

How do you trade without appearing on the holder list?

Polymarket’s holder list and activity feed are limited to positions that are publicly linked to an account. On OffMarket, positions are not publicly linked to the trader’s account, so the account does not appear in the top holders or in the activity feed, while the trader uses the same Polymarket markets, through the same order book, at the same odds.
